LUNCHEON FOR
MOTHERS & DAUGHTERS
“GOD’S PROMISE, THE RAINBOW”

The theme for this year’s Mother-Daughter luncheon will be “God’s Promise, the Rainbow”. All women and girls are invited to attend the popular event on Saturday, May 17th in the Fellowship Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. whether you come alone or with your family. Our own Rebecca Buchanan will sing and share her testimony.

We apologize that the Banquet isn’t being held on Mother’s Day weekend, but we wanted everyone to have the opportunity to attend the excellent Peacemakers seminar being held on May 10th. We hope this does not inconvenience anyone.

Tickets are available on Sunday in the Fellowship Hall or from the church office at $7 for adults, $4 for children under 12 and those 3 and under are free. The doors will open at 10:30am and it is suggested that large families wanting to sit together should come early to reserve tables.

HOPE CIRCLE

Hope Circle will host a meeting on Wednesday, May 28th at 1:30pm in the church parlor. Elizabeth Brown and Jan Bruggeman will present a program titled “Nutrition and You – A Wellness Presentation”. Elizabeth and her husband Bob attend Pinecastle United Methodist Church. They and Jan have studied nutrition for many years, and have a table for nutritional information and products at the Winter Park Farmers Market each Saturday. Elizabeth and Jan will speak on spiritual and physical ways to keep our bodies “God Holy Temples” healthy and active. Elizabeth, a diabetic has lost 101 pounds using new nutritional products. They will share news of healing for many friends and family, including grandchildren. Come and invite friends to join us to hear these inspiring speakers. For more information, you may call Linda Kimball at 407-647-0165.

Short-Term Studies
Every January thru March and August thru October we schedule a variety of Short-Term Studies (usually 6-10 weeks) that focus on topics of interest for various life-stage and affinity groups.
These typically include a group specifically designed for women's issues; such as Beth Moore Bible Studies. Although most of the Short-Term Studies are not designed exclusively for women, many of them are applicable. Stop by the Welcome Center in Fellowship Hall for a GROW Brochure which contains a complete listing of upcoming Short-Term Studies or contact Andrea Danjou for more information (407) 831-3777 x201.

Women of Faith Conferences
Women of Faith is a faith-based women's organization encouraging women of all ages and stages in life to grow in faith and spiritual maturity through a relationship with Jesus Christ and an understanding of God's love and grace. More than 3 million women have shared the conference experience since it began in the mid-1990s. In 2005 alone, more than 39,000 thousand women indicated decisions to follow Jesus at a Women of Faith conference. Every year we make an effort to encourage women to attend this life-changing two-day event. Contact Vanessa Bailes for more information (407) 834-7587.

Women's C-Groups
(Community Groups)

C-Groups are the primary method we use to connect people in regular, small group meetings for the purpose of developing and practicing a culture of Authentic Biblical Community. A typical women's C-Group has between 3 and 12 women. The group meets at least twice per month. In a typical C-Group, you will find loving care and an environment for growth with a few genuine friends. Call Ryan Hall for more information (407) 831-3777 x209.
