C-GROUPS?....are they still talking about C-groups? I don't get it! Why do we need more groups? Does that mean cliques? Is that what we want? Ahhh...the real question is why are YOU not in a C-group? They are small gatherings dedicated to building communities of Christ-centered friends. Who IS the group? People listening to God's "nudging" to reach out for fellowship. Why is it SMALL? The special mix requires familiarity to allow acquaintances, even strangers, to bond together. What about GROWTH? Individuals get to move toward a stronger faith with the encouragement and support of fellow believers. The group's intention is to develop a larger community based on the original members’ strong foundation. What about CLIQUES? Actually, just the opposite effect occurs as group members remain invitational and accepting of new participants. Coming together with differences to discover our common ground; growing to love each other; following Jesus' example of extending that love to more and more people. What do the groups study? How do they grow together? Why would my group have to split into other groups? Each group studies what is appropriate for that special membership. Growing together comes from committing to meeting regularly; discussing issues or the Bible or a specific book; working as a team on a service project; going for a bike ride; a pot-luck or progressive dinner. Dividing into smaller groups after attendance outnumbers the definition of small is a BENEFIT, not a PUNISHMENT. Dividing is SUCCESS!! It is a great opportunity for continued individual, as well as, group growth; a BLESSING, not a CURSE. Have more questions? I hope so! Getting curious about your future C-group?
